Within our club we are incredibly lucky to be able to draw on the knowledge and experience of some the highest achieving HPR people in the country, not only do they give their time and knowledge to help the monthly trainees learn, they also organise and hold other events for the Club which you will find over on our Events page

Gareth Wilson

Steve Pleasance
Steve has been training HPRs for over twenty years and brings a wealth of experience to the team. From competing at the highest levels to serving as an esteemed A Panel judge, Steve has judged numerous field trials and worked extensively with his own dogs in the field. When it comes to HPRs, there’s little he hasn’t done.

Charlie Grewcock
Charlie is passionate about HPRs and currently owns several GWPs. He is an Open Stake Field Trial winner, which has seen him compete at he Kennel Clubs HPR Championships where he was awarded Diploma of Merit.
Charlie is also a Non Panel Field Trial judge. He has pioneered the recent St Hubertus competition in the UK.

Hari Lampart
Hari brings both experience and enthusiasm to training HPRs. She is regularly seen competing at field trials, including the HPR Championships.
Hari is also a B Panel Field Trial Judge, and is an active figure in the gundog community - judging trials, mentoring handlers, and sharing her expertise to support others on their journey.

Sara Jenkins
Running dual purposed gundogs, Sara has competed her dogs not only in the shooting field but also in the showing ring, with many awards on the shelf.
Sara has huge insight to the training of HPRs and many handlers have benefitted of her expertise.
From field trials to working test and rough shooting, Sara has many working strings to her bow.

Tom Warner
Tom brings a balanced and thoughtful approach to gundog training, his calm and patient training style has been a huge asset to the club, helping handlers progress at a pace that suits them and their dogs. Tom is an Open level field trial competitor with his German Wirehaired Pointers, and his passion for the breed is evident in everything he does.

Andrew Farley
Andrew is a professional gundog trainer, and an Open level competitor in Field Trials. After lockdown he needed a new challenge so started judging HPR Field Trials after many years of competing himself and is currently a Non Panel Judge. He enjoys sharing his knowledge and watching trainees grow in confidence and ability with their dogs.

James Childs
James has a natural affinity for dogs and a deep understanding of working in the field. Over the years, he has helped hundreds of handlers and their dogs develop the skills and confidence needed to progress in their training journeys.
